Court strikes schools amendment from ballot

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Supreme Court struck an amendment from the November ballot that would have stripped control of charter schools from local school districts and put it in the hands of the state. The court did not issue a written ruling on the 4-3 decision, stating it would follow “at a later date.”
