Political Fellowship

Ruth’s List Florida seeks a Political Fellow for the Fall 2025 semester to work directly with our Political Director. We provide a stipend for the duration of the semester (4 months). This opportunity includes a flexible work schedule with a requirement of 12-15 hours per week with the possibility of extension beyond the semester. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Driving Department Success: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Political Department, supporting projects and key initiatives.

  • Shaping Candidate Strategy: Draft candidate and endorsement briefings to inform decision-making and campaign support.

  • Monitoring Campaign Progress: Track fundraising performance and key metrics for endorsed and prospective candidates.

  • Digging into Research: Contribute to in-depth research projects on political landscapes, races, and opposition.

  • Keeping Operations Smooth: Provide essential administrative support, including database updates and document organization.

  • Fueling Meaningful Moments: Help plan and execute local events and conferences that connect and inspire pro-choice leaders across the state.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE & VALUES ALIGNMENT

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, grammatical and copy-editing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • A deep commitment to and understanding of Ruth’s List’s mission.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole is a plus.
