Ruth’s List Florida seeks a Political Fellow to support the mission of Ruth’s List to increase the number of pro-choice women elected at all levels of Florida government. Ruth’s List helps women run inspiring, local campaigns that WIN. We identify, recruit, train, mentor and elect pro-choice women to all levels of office in Florida. Since 2008, we have raised over $10,500,000, elected over 300 women to state and local office, and trained more than 2,700 women. But our work has only just begun.
We are seeking a Political Fellow to assist with our recruitment program, in-person trainings throughout the state and our candidate endorsement process. The RLF Political Fellow will play an integral role in the department’s work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with all aspects of the political department
- Drafting candidate and endorsement briefings
- Assisting with research projects as needed
- Providing general administrative support, including database maintenance
- Tracking candidate fundraising totals
- Communicating with partners on the ground in key regions to support recruitment and event logistics
- Assisting with local events and conference planning
Successful Fellows Should Have:
- Have an interest in supporting pro-choice women running for office
- Excellent organizational, writing, and research skills
- Be organized and detail-oriented
- Flexibility as projects and priorities may shift on a daily basis
- Previous political experience, though not required
What Else to Know:
- This is a remote position, candidates must have access to reliable internet and be responsive via email and cell
- The compensation for this position is $15/hour, and will be expected to work up to 15 hours/week.
- The Political Fellow is expected to begin on 9/24/26 and end on 12/18/2026. There will be an opportunity to extend the fellowship into the spring semester, based on performance.
