Message From Alex Sink

Ten years ago, I had a vision to help build a bench of progressive women ready to lead in Florida. To make that dream a reality, I co-founded Ruth’s List Florida, to recruit, train, mentor, and support progressive women running for office.

We wanted an organization that not only guided and trained women to run the best campaigns possible, but also professionalized and prepared their campaign staff.  An organization which, by way of helping elect women, ultimately elected the BEST officials at all levels in our great state.

Why? Because we know “She is THE Change”!  We’ve accomplished a lot and we still have so much opportunity.

With over 1,800 women trained, $5 million raised, and 118 victories, that vision is a growing reality.

In 2018, we had 59 Ruth’s List victories, with 21 women flipping seats red-to-blue. Some of these historic victories include Commissioner Nikki Fried, Senator Janet Cruz, Senator Annette Taddeo, Representative Fentrice Driskell, and Commissioner Eileen Higgins.
