Welcome Becca Tieder

Dear Ruth’s List Family,

Please join me in welcoming Becca Tieder, Program and Communications Director to our statewide staff. Becca will be based in St. Petersburg and will be primarily responsible for all grassroots membership support and growth as well as communications on behalf of Ruth’s List Florida.

Becca comes to Ruth’s List with a treasure trove of experience in grassroots organizations, program creation and development as well as a passion for connecting organizations, ideas, people and programs.

She is a progressive community activist, speaker, author and the founder of an international non-profit and has engaged over 2 million students’ parents and professionals in culture shifting Sexversations®. A national leader on the conversation on consent, she was invited to Washington to serve as an expert for senior White House officials and members of the Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault. She is the subject of the documentary film, “You Are the One”, a TedX Youth Speaker and was awarded a 2019 Telly award. She recently led her team in the development, training and distribution of curriculum for all 87 institutions of higher education in the state of Ohio.

Becca is also the creator and co-host of Dishonorable Mention a podcast about politics and pop culture. She has been featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Marie Claire, Dateline NBC, CNN, The Fox Morning Show, ABC, CBS and NPR.

She is equally passionate about social justice and  equity. Serving on numerous boards and in leadership roles that advance the status of women, address economic development, violence against women and children and works to create safer schools.

Becca is a fourth generation Floridian and a graduate of The University of West Florida.
