Training Fellow – Winter 2021-22

Ruth’s List Florida is currently seeking a Training Fellow for Winter 2021-22 to work directly with our Training Director. Ruth’s List offers a best-in-class training program to candidates and prospective candidates. The Training Fellow will assist in the execution of that training program for pro-choice women candidates running in Florida races in 2022 and beyond. We offer a flexible work schedule and require a commitment of 15 hours per week from December 15, 2021 to April 15, 2022. This role provides a unique opportunity for mentorship and to learn in a supportive work environment, all while making a positive impact on Florida’s political landscape.

Ruth’s List helps women run inspiring, local campaigns that WIN. We identify, recruit, train, mentor and elect Democratic pro-choice women to all levels of office in Florida. Since 2008, we have raised over $5,000,000, nearly elected 200 women to state and local office, and trained more than 2,100 women.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Assist in promoting trainings through direct outreach to candidates and community partners including:
    • Individual phone and email outreach
    • Text outreach
    • Coordinating with the Ruth’s List communications team to promote through social media and mass email
  • Assist with training logistics such as facilitating Zoom trainings and booking physical training spaces when possible
  • Keeping excellent records to build institutional knowledge

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Comfort communicating over the phone
  • Professionalism and ability to represent the organization well to partners and prospective candidates
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission of electing Democratic, pro-choice women in Florida

COMPENSATION

$3,600 stipend for a 4-month commitment
