“During my tenure on Maitland City Council, I have focused on protecting the city’s precious natural resources.
I have a firm environmental record on fighting to protect wetlands.
While on Council, we passed an ordinance strengthening protections for the city’s wetlands and waterways while closing loopholes that could be exploited by developers.
During this past legislative session, the State lawmakers tried to pass a law that would overturn local tree canopy protection ordinances across the state. I led the Council to unanimously sign off on a resolution opposing the passage of that law.”
