URGENT: Ensure your provisional ballot gets counted!

Nearly 5 million Florida voters casts ballots throughout the state on Tuesday, November 6. As of today there are over 50,000 provisional ballots in envelopes that have been sent to Florida Supervisor of Election Offices where they will sit until voters prove their eligibility to vote.

 

Did you vote by provisional ballot on Tuesday?  If yes, you may need to take extra steps to make sure your vote is counted!  The deadline for this is 5:00PM TODAY, Thursday, November 8, 2018.

 

WHO THIS APPLIES TO:   People who voted by provisional ballot and their eligibility to vote has not been verified by the supervisor of elections office

 

WHAT YOU MUST DO: 

  • If you were issued a provisional ballot for an election administered by your county supervisor of elections, you can go to the Florida Division of Elections website, find and review the current status of your ballot. You must have the provisional ballot ID that was given to you at the time you received the provisional ballot. If you do not have that information, please contact the Florida Supervisor of Elections office in the county of your residence for assistance.  
  • If the reason you voted a provisional ballot is solely because you did not provide an acceptable photo and signature identification at the polls, you do not need to provide any further evidence of your eligibility in order for your ballot to count. 
  • If you vote a provisional ballot for other reasons you have the opportunity to bring in evidence to your respective supervisor of elections no later than 5 p.m., of the second day following the election according to this Florida Statue   
  • Call 866-OUR-VOTE if you think your ballot was wrongly rejected or has a related problem
