January 19— One of Ruth’s List 2020 Conference keynote speakers was selected as an impeachment manager in the senate impeachment proceedings.
As most of you know, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that Congresswoman Val Demings was chosen to be on the prosecution team for President Trump’s impeachment trial.
Congresswoman Demings is a former Police Chief from Orlando, serving her 2nd term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Demings was the first woman to hold the position and only the second African American, succeeding her husband, Mayor Jerry Demings.
We are thrilled to have her as one of our incredible keynote speakers, along with former two-term Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, and U.S. Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy.
